He was predeceased by: his parents, James VanBuskirk and Velma VanBuskirk (Higgins); and his brother Burton. He is survived by: his sons, Jamie (Crystal) of Halifax and Bruce (Connie) of Halifax; his grandchildren, Alexander of Halifax, Kaylie of Halifax and Brandon of Halifax; his siblings, Robert (Joan) of Halifax, Charles (Marilyn) of Sherbrooke Lake, John (Dianne) of Greenwich, Judi Moen (Ken) of Saskatchewan, Mary Smeltzer (Ken) of Wolfville, Jeannie of Port Williams and Susan Dempsey (Willie) of Coldbrook; and his sisters-in-law, Ann VanBuskirk (Burton) of Edmonton, Alberta and Maxine Blackmore of Kentville. He is also survived by many niece, nephews.
