He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Lynk and Burniece Lynk (Messom); his siblings, Lawrence, David, Robert, Ronald, Mildred "Midge" and Andrea; and his brother-in-law Eugene.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Eva Lynk (Palmeter); his son David Lynk; his stepdaughter Jan Porter (Gary); his siblings, Barbara Goodyear of Eastern Passage, Clarence Lynk (Debbie) of Hillaton, Joseph of Kentville, Murray (Chrissy) of Kingsport and Grace Sherman (Gary) of Ross Creek; his sisters-in-law, Maryann of Kingsport, Wanda George (Bill) of Medford and Jeanne Allen of Medford; and his grandchildren, Cassidy, Connor, Rhea and Katherine. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
