She was predeceased by: her former husband Randy Carey; her father Ralph Stirling; and her parents-in-law, Lemert Carey, Gervaise, Christine and McKay.

She is survived by: her husband Todd McKay; her children, Alanna, Connor and Nathan; her mother Kay Stirling of Wallbrook; her siblings, Hal Stirling (Angeline) of North Alton, Chris Herbin (Peter) of Grand Pre, Ralph Stirling (Colleen) of Grand Pre and Ellen Kennie (Peter) of Gaspereau; and her son Todd. She is also survived by 2 stepsons and a husband.
