He was predeceased by: his parent David Wood; his son Frank; and his siblings, Mildred Brown, Foster, Harold, Willie and Vilroy.
He is survived by: his parent Annie Wood (Oakden); his wife Marlene (Abbott); his children, Sherry Dempsey (Wade Miller), Anna (Stephen), Cambridge, Crystal Ahearn (Bill) of Kentucky, USA and David of Berwick; his sister Myrna Melvin of New Minas; his grandchildren, Ginny Ripley (Willis), Mikaela Wood, Noelle Wood, Deven Dalton and Ceilidh Ahearn; and his great grandchild Addison Ripley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
