He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Charlton and Hazel Charlton; and his siblings, Eileen (Archie), Bezanson, Vera Height (Gordon), Russell (Connie), Ron, Perley and Harold.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen (Zwicker); his daughters, Donna (Bob), MacPhail and Janet Kennedy (Rob); his grandchildren, Alicia Kennedy, Danielle Kingsbury (Andrew), Liz Cochrane (BJ) and Drew MacPhail (Mariella Nalepa); his great grandchildren, Selena Kelly and Campbell Cochrane; and his sisters-in-law, Betty and Edera. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
