It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sylvia Janet Wood (Kentville, Nova Scotia), born in Canning, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 24, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, David Weaver and Annie Weaver (Rogers); and her sisters, Margaret Vaughan (Avery), Brenda Huntley (Paul), Heather Weaver and Sharon Bond.

She is survived by : her husband Ronald Wood; her daughter Cheryl Wood (Peter Huntley); her grandson Clayton Huntley-Wood; and her siblings, David Weaver (Linda) and Darlene Huntley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
