He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Balcom and Louise Balcom (Sabean); his brother Lawrence Balcom; and his granddaughter Destinée Donavan. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Susan Balcom, Heather Best (Grant), Angela Mason and Ian Balcom (Nadine); and his sister Sharon "Peggy" Hovel. He is also survived by grandchildren, as well as several great-grand daughters.
