She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Spicer and Hope Spicer (Forsythe); her husband Douglas Covert; her grandson Stephen; and her sisters, Lillian and Alice.

She is survived by : her children, Gail Durling (Robert), Nictaux, Paula Covert (Dennis Gladue), Corona California, Donna Markiewitz (Christopher), James (Sandy), Daniel (Christine) and Alan (Jeff Lewis); her grandchildren, Nancy (Tony Tracey), Owen and Loren; her stepgrandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer and Robert; and her siblings, Maryann Doyle (Mike), Betty Sabean (Larry), Nictaux and Robert Spicer (Judy). She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.

Donations in memory may be made to The Children's Wish Foundation or Valley Regional Hospital.
