He was predeceased by: his parents, David and Nell (Helena); and his wife Ruth (Knight). He is survived by: his children, Michael, David (Kelly) and Cheryl Dowell (Chris); his grandchildren, Charlotte (Dylan), Samuel (Robyn), Rachel (Mathieu) and Kassandra; his great grandchildren, David, Arthur, Oliver and Russell; and his siblings, Sis (Shirley) and Norman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Ettinger Funeral Home (2812 NS-2, Shubenacadie, NS B0N2H0). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Ralph's wishes are for no flowers. Memorial donations can be made to the Colchester East-Hants Hospice Society (89 Queen St, Truro, NS B2N 2B2), Habitat for Humanity, The Victorian Order of Nurses, The Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
