With solemn reverence, we commemorate Cecilia Obeline Pottie of L'Ardoise, Nova Scotia, whose life came to an end on May 28, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecilia Roach (Cheticamp) and Wilfred Pàte (L'Ardoise); her husband Joseph Maxwell; her son Edwin; her stepmother Georgette; and her siblings, Margaret, Lucy Anne, Elizabeth, Theresa, Melvina and Joseph.
She is survived by: her siblings, Sarah, Diane, Marie, Brenda, Karen, Christine, Gerald, Felix, Paul, Peter, Albert and David; and her children, Stephen (Joanne), Carol Carter (Frank), Terry (Roberta), Roy (Nancy), Maxwell (Juanita) and Michael (Laurie). She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews she loved.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church (187 Chapel Cove Rd, St. Peter's, NS B0E1S0).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the cancer or Alzheimer's society.
