He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parent Mary Baird (MacEachern); his children, Jevon Baird (Marlene) of Amherst, James Baird (Laura Lee) of Sussex, Jerry Rushton (Beverley) of New Minas and Angela DeWitt of Little River; his sisters, Beth Baird of Amherst and Carolyn Colwell of Springhill; his grandchildren, Shantel, Maranda, Naomi, Micah, Moriah, Matthew, Ashley, Bret and Curt; his wife Mary Gogan-Baird; his father Kempton; and his brother Peter. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews; and close friend.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Little River Baptist Church or any charity.
