He was predeceased by: his parents, Roderick Murphy and Leah Murphy (Fitzgerald); his daughter Connie Murphy; his grandson Sandy Murphy; and his siblings, Madeline Doucet and Roderick Murphy Jr. (Junior).
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Murphy (Nickerson); his children, Craig Murphy and Wendy Murphy-Dennis (Steve); his granddaughters, Crystal Harrington, Kendra Boyd and Karyn Sharp (Jeremy); and his siblings, Anna Barr, Bedford, William Murphy (Bill), Little River Harbor, Marie Watkins (Darrell), Wellington, Eleanor Nickerson (Collie) and Brazil Lake. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Gabriel's Parish Cemetery (567 Ma, St. Comeau's Hill, NS B5A1J6).
