He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Leo and Martha Gracie (Raney); and his sister-in-law Mona Gracie (Messervey). He is survived by: his wife Louise Gracie (MacDougall); his daughters, Lori Stone (Russell) and Amanda Basque (Jason); his grandchildren, Tanner Basque, Shamus Stone and Aiden Stone; and his siblings, Ann Cook (Albert), Mary Ellen Carter (Wayne), Joanne Vint (Ted), Madeline Brewster (Billy), Andrew and Michael Gracie.

Memorial donations in memory of Peter can be made to the Cancer Society of Nova Scotia or to the charity of one's choice.
