He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Vera Byers-Carter (Harry Carter), Raymond and Coreen David. He is survived by: his sons, Brian III and Brandon (Devaney); his grandchildren, Brian IV and Princeton; his parents, Sharon and Brian (Beverly); his former wife Trina; his siblings, Arnel (Miranda), Tyson and Andrea; his aunt Rose; and his goddaughter Aniya. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
