He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Angus MacKinnon and Irene MacKinnon (MacBeath MacFarlane); his wife Barbara Ann MacKinnon; his sister Shirley Jennings; his siblings-in-law, Winnifred Mason, Alice Shaw and Charles Grant; his children, Kathy Coughlan (Terry), David MacKinnon and Sally Steele; his grandchildren, Maya and Neco; his daughter Donna MacKinnon (David Berrigan); his grandchildren, Matthew Coughlan (Lindsay), Mark Coughlan (Devyn Carter), Maggie (Kim McAuslan), Niall MacKinnon, Alice Berrigan (Ryan Fortune), Liam Berrigan (Rachel Cormier) and Sean Berrigan (Selby Jessiman); his former wife Marilyn; his sister Jennie Grant; and also, Anne-Margaret MacKinnon, Lynn Johns (Barry), Ben Young (Sandra Pike), Donna Bramley (Peter Sharma), Leslie-Anne Dempster, Shane Beddow, Kyle, Kennedy, Brittany, Christopher, Breanna, Jazimar, Christian, Mia, Beckham, Liam, Ryan, Austin and Milan. He was also cherished by the birds and all the other animals.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions the funeral is limited to 25 guests (by invitation).
