It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Alfred Sly (Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia), born in Gananoque, Ontario, who passed away on May 9, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father James Lester Sly of Gananoque; his wife Yvonne Sly (Frank); his mother Beatrice Alexandria Sly (Spragg) of England; and his sister Ruth Wood (Don) of Kingston, Ontario.. He is survived by: his daughter Jana (Waverley); his sisters, Gladys Taillon of Gananoque and Bea Hansen (Dick) of Cleveland, Ohio.; and his friends, Jenine Glasgow, Kelli Tysick and Donna Edmonds. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Naval Benevolent Fund, the local Animal Humane Society, or the local Red Cross.
