He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Hill and Emily Hill (Taylor); his wife Joyce; his daughter Joan Nolan; and his siblings, Herbert, Harvey and Donna.

He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Levert (Blair) of Cambridge, ON and Cheryl Durkin (Gavan) of Aurora, ON.; his siblings, Mary Wilkie, Gertrude Purdy (Henry), Diane Parsons, Betty Boulton (Barb Bergen), Gordon (Marjorie), Leroy (Joyce) and Ernest (Gail); and his grandchildren, Lisa Marshe (Luke) of Orleans, ON, Kristen Harney (Curtis) of Cambridge, ON, Brian Levert (Katlynn) of Elmvale, ON, Ryan and Meghan Durkin of Aurora, ON.
