He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alfred Duchesne and Winnifred Duchesne (Chevrette); his siblings, Roland, Fred, George, Charlie, Robert, Richard, Andrew, Lawrence, Joseph, Georgette and Theresa; his wife Valerie May (Cave); his children, Michael, Denise (Cooke) and Jill Marie (Fraser); and his grandchildren, Christopher, Nicole, Nicholas and Liam.

Due to covid19 Gil will be laid to rest via a graveside service with family only at the Gates of Heaven on Friday, October 16th at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society of Canada.
