He was predeceased by: his nephew Spencer Strickland; his uncle Bill; and his aunt Myrtle Coombs. He is survived by: his wife Elma; his children, Denise and Darrin; his grandchildren, John (Marie), Shelby, Carly and Julliette; his siblings, Matthew Bedford (Barbara), William Halifax (Rowena), Donna Halifax (Doug Marchand) and Susan Halifax (Ed Boutilier); and also Lucie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Foundation, Diabetes Canada, Alzheimer's Society, or a charity of your choice.
