She was predeceased by: her parents, Scott Burgess and Katheryn Burgess (Lane); her husband Harold Brown; and her sisters, Eva Taylor, Florence Campbell and Ethel Cunningham.

She is survived by: her children, Vanda Brown (Rob) of Bow Island, Rod Burgess (Noreen) of Halifax and Kenneth Brown of Halifax; her siblings, Katheryn Flynn of Beaverbank, Russell Burgess (Kay) of Windsor and Vincent Burgess (Sylvia) of Windsor; and her grandchildren, Margaux Burgess, Derek Gatz and Karli Gatz (Victor Longbard).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
