It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Edward Doherty of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on May 20, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Francis and Mary Elizabeth Emberley. He is survived by: his wife Hilda Dorothy Doherty (Cullen); his children, Linda Marie Doherty, Diana Louise Doherty, Joseph Edward Doherty (Moira Keenan), Terrance Michael, Monte Wood Doherty, Daniel Francis Doherty and Robert Charles Doherty; and his sister Denise Patrick (Eric) of Kelowna, BC. He is also survived by several grandchildren great grandchildren with many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers; donations in his name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NS would be gratefully appreciated.
