He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Rust and Pearl Rust (Schroeder); and his children, Kenneth "Kenny" Rust and Gretchen Staples. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Rust (Schoepke); his son Matthew Rust (Peggy); his grandchildren, Caleb, Anna and Ella; his children, Heidi Presley (Derek) and Wellington; his grandchildren, Josh (Kathleen), Jenna, Tyler and Sara; his son-in-law Steve Staples; his children, Jessica, Ashlyn and Brennan; his great grandchild Sawyer Kenneth; and his sister Janet McClelland (Tom).
