He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hughes and Mary Hughes (MacNeil); and his sister Joan Bustin. He is survived by: his wife Gloria (Osborne); his sons, James Hughes (Tarra) and Michael Hughes (Nancy); his granddaughter Emily; his brother John Hughes (Dolly); and his brother-in-law Doug Bustin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
