She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Emmerson and Blanche Emmerson (Butler); her husband Thomas Perry; and her sisters, Joan Williams, Annette and Shelley Emmerson.
She is survived by: her close friend Ernest Jacobs; her son Lyndon; her nephew Travis; her daughters, Tawana and Shannon; her grandchildren, Jordan Robinson, Zen B Cool and Aubrey Sol Cool; her godchild Travon Simmonds; her nieces, Dawn Marsman, Angela Downey and Londyn Scott; her siblings, Charles (Linda), Vivian Oliver and Ellen Emmerson; and her close friend Janell Simms (Shonna Smith).
