She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyril Keeping and Elizabeth Keeping; her son-in-law Michael Sowdon; her siblings, Howard Keeping and Nancy Keeping; and her siblings-in-law, Trudy Melvin and Evan MacKay.

She is survived by: her children, Paul (Shauna) and Michele; her husband Robert MacKay; her son Evan MacKay; her grandchildren, Matthew and Angelica MacKay; her siblings, George (June), Jack (Faye), Keith (Alice), Darryl (Linda), Eleanor Brown (Arthur), Evelyn Smith (Larry), Beatrice Payne (Ed), Frances Scott (Calvin), Lorna Carter (Robert), Carol Keeping (William), Rowena Symes (Gary), Della Crewe (Milton) and Norma Hatcher (Perry); and her siblings-in-law, Janet Hatcher and Harvey MacKay. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
