She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Scanlan and Annie Scanlan; her husband Leo Byrne; her son Robert (Bob); and her siblings, Jim, John, Paul and Eileen Sampson.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda, Cathy (Jeff), Philip (Carol) and Tony (Sheila); her grandchildren, Natalie, Erin, Sophie and Jake; her siblings, Donzella Sampson (St Peters), Wilfred Scanlan (Halifax) and Anna Ellis (Dartmouth); and her friend Gordie Chapman.
