She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Carmichael and Margaret Carmichael (Underwood); her son David Hingston; her siblings, Douglas Carmichael, David Carmichael, Joan Fanning and Elizabeth Sullivan; her in-laws, John and Cassie Hingston (Gale); and her brother-in-law Gordon Hingston.
She is survived by: her husband John; her children, Christopher Hingston (Jennifer) and Jacqueline Côté (Adrian); her sister Deborah Patterson (Andrew) of Gaspe, QC; her grandchildren, Olivia Lavers (Luc), Christian Hingston, Nate Côté and Cassie Côté; her sisters-in-law, Hilda, Catherine, Heather and Sharon; and also Daisy Lavers. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Ja Snow Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, NS B3S0E1).
