It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Paul Edmund Benoit (Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia), born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, who passed away on October 19, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarence Benoit and Dorothy Isabel Benoit (David) of Pomquet; and his brother Alfred. He is survived by : his wife Patricia Ellen Dunn; his child Pat; his siblings, Edward (Donna), Gerald (Michelle) and Lucille; his granddaughter Patricia; his great grandchild Mary-Jeanette; his grandson Paul; his great grandchild Stephanie; his grandson David; his great grandchildren, Phoebe, Eleanor, Edmund, Oscar and Michael; and also, Rylan, Grayson, Jaxson and Heather.

For his wonderful contribution to his community, Paul received the commemorative medal of the 125 anniversary of the Confederation of Canada, The Archdiocesan Medal of Merit in recognition of outstanding service and commitment, The Association of Professional Engineers Citizenship Award which is granted to Engineers who combine a professional career with outstanding contribution to their community and the Long Service Award for Public Service.
