He was predeceased by: his daughter Michelle Stewart; and his sister Tammy Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Christina Stewart (Butt); his parents, Barbara Sarty and Ronald Stewart; his sisters, Jennifer Stewart (Peter), Linda Crooks (Jason), Mary Stewart (Kyle) and Eva Whynot (Byron); his daughter Amber Stewart; his parents-in-law, Joan Butt and Gerald Butt; and his brother-in-law James Butt (Dawn). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
