He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Lacey and Bernice Lacey (Feehan). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Sawler; his stepson Nathan; his mother-in-law Theresa Drake; his pet Mick; his siblings, Suzanne Pearce (Gord), Michelle Parrell (Frank), Kathryn Nichol (Basil) and John; his uncle Jim; his aunt Alice Lacey; and also, Lloyd and Carrie Critch. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Happy Valley Goose-Bay SPCA in his honour.
