With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas James Hill of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, born in Toronto, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 25, 2024 at the age of 95. He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Hill and Emma Hill (Verian); his former life partner Audrie; and his brother Richard. He is survived by : his wife Sharon; his children, Arthur (Regis), Ronald (Lorraine), Norman (Sarah), Linda Marinus (Peter) of Courtney, BC. and Margaret Towndrow (William); and his stepchildren, Andrew Findlay of London, ON., Krista Mayo (Todd) and Jennifer Saunders (Paul). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM and at 4:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lunenburg Academy Foundation or the Lunenburg Heritage Society, would be appreciated by the family.
