With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Esther Frances Saunders (Lunenburg, Nova Scotia), who passed away on April 12, 2024 at the age of 105. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her father King George VI; her husband Jack; her daughter-in-law Laura; and her siblings, Logie Armstrong and June Skene.

She is survived by : her children, Heather (Jim Eisenhauer), John (late Laura), Barry (Linda), Geoffrey (Jane Milton), Mark (Cathy), David (Teena Marie Fancey), Jim (Glenda Nystuen) and June.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Anglican Church (64 Townsend St, Lunenburg, NS B0J2C0). Mum saw many changes in the world during her 105 years; two World Wars, the Great Depression, the Influenza pandemic in her young years, the COVID pandemic in her late years, and extreme changes in technology.
