Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Fred Bennett in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, born in Petites, Newfoundland, who passed away at the age of 81, on September 3, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Colin Bennett and Maggie Bennett (Mauger); his parents-in-law, Bertram and Juanita Bailly; and his brothers-in-law, David Bailly and Fred Courtney.

He is survived by: his wife Helen (Bailly); his daughter Angela; his grandchildren, Jillian (Adrien) and Maxwell (Mandy); his son David (Jackie); his grandson Joshua (Krystal); his daughter Michelle (Jim); his grandson Edwin; and his sisters, Corella and Lillian (Alvin). He is also survived by several nieces, a nephew, grand nieces and nephews.
