With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerd Richard Kirchner (Lunenburg, Nova Scotia), who passed away on April 16, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Hermann Kirchner and Anna Susanna Waldburga (Bild); his former life partner Irene; and his siblings, Manfred, Brigitte and Ingrid.

He is survived by : his wife Linda; his children, Dominic (Susan) of Irricana, Alberta, Ramona Lord and Simone Richter; his stepchildren, Lisa Pomfrey-Talbot (Mark) and Ashley Pomfrey; his grandchildren, Owen, Amy, Joshua, Derek, Justin, Jordyn, Jayden, Lydia and Catherine; his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Aria and Cole; and his sisters, Roswitha, Jutta and Gerlinde.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Lunenburg County VON, Parkinson's Society, Hope for Wildlife or to a charity of your choice.

“My condolences to Linda and family. I have been spending time with Gerd in the barn while trimming the horses' hooves for almost 11 years. I am German as well and we spoke German quite a bit. Gerd loved his horses and the other animals so much! ♥”
