Mildred Iona Buchanan Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Iona Buchanan (Lydgate, Nova Scotia), who passed away on February 23, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mable Burke and James Burke; and her sisters, Nora Smith, Kathleen Brown and Marie Perry.

She is survived by: her sons, Wesley Buchanan, Terry Buchanan, Andrew Buchanan and Wade Buchanan; her grandchildren, Angie Buchanan, Steven, Amanda, Quintin, Kaitlyn, Kaiden, Joey, Sam, Tamara, Denver, Mark, Virginia, Kirsten, Riley, Alex, Matthew, Draya, Darius, Maria and Grace Lynn; and her sisters, Muriel Townsend, Rhoda Williams and Sevilla Stuart.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 27th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Huskilson's Funeral Chapel (58 Bulkley St, Shelburne, NS B0T1W0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Harbour Light Pentecostal Church (109 Church Road, East Green Harbour, NS B0T1L0).
