John MacInnis Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John MacInnis (Mabou, Nova Scotia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 22, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John James MacInnis and Margaret MacInnis (Gillis); his wife Audrey; and his siblings, Annie Jane, Marie, Jim, Alex, Blaise and Richard.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy (Paul) of West Mabou and David (Debbie) of Ontario; his grandchildren, Stephen, Katy (Mike), Julie (Adam), Kristy (Donnie), Peter and Kimberley (Jerome); his siblings, Catherine and Dougald (Silvia); and his sister-in-law Leona. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Mary's Church (32 MacDonald Rd, Mabou, NS B0E1X0). A burial was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Research Fund of Canada or St. Mary's Cemetery, Mabou.
