He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna (Stienstra) and Joseph of Bont; and his wife Theresa (Fifoot). He is survived by: his children, Maria MacLean (Gordie) and John Joseph (Lyndsay LeVangie) of Bont; and his grandchildren, Ellie, Dylan, Payton, Cullen MacLean, Auralee, Natiya, Lachlan and Ashlyn of Bont.

Donations may be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society or St. Mary's Parish Cemetery Fund, Mabou.
