He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dwyer and Lillian Dwyer (Collins); his wife Margaret; his daughter-in-law Colleen; and his siblings, Logan, Ed, Albert, Ronald, Reg, Inez Doucette, Margaret Marks, Agnes St. Peter and Audrey.
He is survived by: his children, Larry (Karen), Jamie Dwyer (Darren), Lori Lirette (Brent) and Jim Jr. (Tanya); his grandchildren, Larry Jr., Chelsey, Josh, Justin, Michaela, Elizabeth, Zoe, Samantha, Madeline and Kieanne; his great grandchildren, Jayce, Hudson, Colson, Freddy, Lincoln, Harlow and Braxton; and his sister-in-law Iona Dwyer (Betty Lee). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Campbell's Funeral Home (98 Church St, Amherst, NS B4H3B4). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Family Parish (63 Church St, Amherst, NS B4H3B1).
