He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Charles McGinnis; his siblings, Charles Dorey, Louis Dorey, Keith Dorey, Doreen Kendall and Norma Lantz; his parents, Kathleen Hiltz (Wamboldt) and Charles Richard Dorey; and his stepfather Clifford Hiltz.
He is survived by: his wife Joan (McGinnis); his children, Kerry (Michael), Scott and Shawn (Sherri); his grandchildren, Jacob Barkhouse (Haley), Abigail Barkhouse, Allison John, Emma Dorey, Brenden Dorey, Danielle Oleshko and Deanne Oleshko; his great grandchildren, Weston, Jaxon, Lexi and Chanel; his mother-in-law Alice McGinnis; and his siblings, Dorothy Dolimount, Lucille Thurlow, Linda Barss (Jim), Barry Dorey (Maureen) and Leo Dorey (Melinda).
A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Martin's Cemetery.
