He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Lewis Kerwin and Isabel Adelaine Dingwall; his wife Lois Anne Marlene Fairweather; his daughter Heather Darlene Donald; and his brother William Lewis Kerwin.
He is survived by: his children, Bonnie Marlene Kerwin and John Thomas (Tom); his grandchildren, Brett Alexander Donald (Laura Hawkins), John Francis Kerwin, Wesley Scott Kerwin (Melissa Parks) and Dr. Haley Kristina Donald; his great grandchildren, Azazel Kerwin, Levi Kerwin and Zander Kerwin; and his sister Elizabeth Kerwin-Smith (Allan).
