He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Lahey and Margaret Lahey (Perry); his daughter Wanda Lahey; his grandson Micheal; his siblings, Anna Mallett, Marcie White, Regina Stevens, Lillian Kelly (late Michael), Johnny and Edward; his parents-in-law, Cecil and Azaliah Stevens; his niece Tammy Gouthro; and his nephew Robbie Kennedy.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen (Stevens); his children, Linda Gwinn, Kimberly Mickey (late Vince), Grande Prairie, Karen Cann (Earl), Sydney Mines, Kelvin (Judy), Reserve and David (Anne) of Sylvan Lake, AB.; his grandchildren, Melissa (Sid), Kyla (Sandy), Chrissy (Curtis), Tara (Wayne), Candace, Jamie, Josh (Samantha), Kolton, Adam (Stephanie) and Brent (Amie); his siblings, Mary Kehoe (Buddy), Judy Magee (Roger), Rita MacDonald (Alex) of Romeo, MI, Sarah Smith (Gary) of London, ON, Peggy Kennedy (Bob) of Guelph, ON, Irene Gouthro and Perry (Sandy); and his siblings-in-law, Catherine Lahey, Ferdie White and Earl Stevens (Iris). He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
