He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Alexander and Dorothy Dawson (Kempling). He is survived by : his wife Katherine; his son Ian (Pam); his granddaughters, Cassidee and Maygen; his great grandchildren, Shane and Jacob; his siblings, Maryon Kushner and Bob Dawson (Merri); his nieces and nephews, Teenae, Michael, Heather, Maggi, Robyn, Peter, Merrion, Ross, Aimée, Danielle and Eric; his great-niece Brianna; and his great-nephews, Elliott, Noah, Isaac and Will.
