She was predeceased by : her parents, Eino Leppanen and Martta Leppanen; her former life partner Eugene Higgins; her sister Peggy Marcotte; her brother-in-law Jim; and her niece Darlene.

She is survived by : her children, Rick (Jean), Anna-Marie Hutchinson (Dale Langthorne), Sandy Higgins and Scott Higgins (Treena Davidson); and her grandchildren, Shelby, Colton, Brandon (Emily) and Evan.
