He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald McFetridge and Florence McFetridge (Mitchell). He is survived by : his wife Marilyn (Redden); his children, Matthew (Eva) and Sarah (Collin); his grandchildren, Monica and Isaiah (Jasmine); and his sister Ellen McFetridge.

“Michael is my first cousin and his mother is my mother's sister. I remember Michael playing the guitar in High School and it encouraged me to play the guitar in which i still do today. Michael and his sister Ellen had their own band and they entertained many people including my mother's wedding reception. He was a great man and he will truly be missed.
