We announce the death of Betty Martha Rafuse (Middleton, Nova Scotia), who passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 94. Betty will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Allister and Evelyn Viona Atwood (Malone); her close friend David Saunders; her daughter Sharon Lane; her granddaughter Betty-Jo Lane; her stepchildren, Diane, Gary and David Rafuse; her siblings, Iona Smith and Jackie Atwood; and her children-in-law, David Lane and Eileen Rafuse.
She is survived by: her daughter Wendy Lund; her grandchildren, Natasha Lane (Doug Tufts), Nicki Doyle, Marty Doyle (Janelle Pinc), Raph Rafuse (Lesley), Ginette Rafuse, Heather Noseworthy (Gerard), Kate Beaudoin (Michael) and Adam Rafuse (Kerrin); her great grandchildren, Zee, Maggie, Natalie, Ashton and Amelia; her great great grandchild Oaklynn; and her daughter-in-law Elaine Rafuse.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Middleton Funeral Home (398 Main St, Middleton, NS B0S1P0).
