She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Oakes and Phyllis Oakes (Turner); her great grandchild Kayson Clayton; and her brother-in-law David Turner. She is survived by: her granddaughters, Sadie, Sophie and Serenity; her great grandchild Nora; her husband Dwight; her children, Tanya Smith (Jonathan Lucas), Sandra Boudreau (Freddie), Holly Connell (Jonathan Howatt), Jennifer Bannister (Simon), Clifford Connell (Samantha Spring), Shannon Connell-Prescott (Andrew Schuhmann) and Shawn Connell (Samantha); her grandchildren, Jocelyn (Temi), Justin (Chelsea), Emma, Amber (Sahil), Felicity (Nick), Shyan, Logan (Riley), Kara (Colten), Owen (Maddie), Abby, Mitchell, Hannah, Warren, Claire, Oliver, Cameron, Caleb, Cayden, Georgia, Maddy and Khloe; her great grandchildren, Cristián, Ava, Aria, Elora, Lily and Amaya; her sisters, Pam Turner, Patricia (Arthur Tompkins) and Elizabeth (Derek Caldwell); and her aunt Helen "Honey" Oickle.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Middleton Funeral Home (398 Main St, Middleton, NS B0S1P0). A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Donations in memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Valley Hospice Foundation.
