He was predeceased by: his parents, William Illsley and Ruth Illsley (Sellers); his former wife Laura; and his siblings, Gerald, Gordon, Charlie, Freda and Joyce.
He is survived by: his wife Marion; his children, Kathy, Bryan (Alison), Richard (Darlene) and Michael (April); his stepdaughters, Margo, Brenda (Ron) and Shelley (Doug); and his siblings, Jean, Frank and Nancy. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, also numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 1:55 PM at the Heart. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Middleton Funeral Home (398 Main St, Middleton, NS B0S1P0). A burial will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery (434 Carleton Rd, Lawrencetown, NS B0S1M0).
