He was predeceased by: his parents, James Murphy and Frances Murphy (MacDonald); and his siblings, Myrna Bettiol, Frank and Junior Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife Faith M. Tetanish; his children, Karen Marsh (David) of Auburn, N. S., Chris Murphy (Nicola Cassidy) of Upper Kingsclear, N. B., David Murphy and Ohio; his grandchildren, Danielle (Arick), Lauren and Quinn (Deanna); his great grandchildren, Titus, Camilla, Siena and Magnus; his brother Vernon Murphy (Wilma); and his sister-in-law Beverley Tetanish of Newport, N. S.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
