We are sad to announce that, on March 29, 2026, at the age of 88, Gloria Marion McCarthy (Middleton, Nova Scotia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hedley and Marion Hedley (Burbine); and her siblings, Dolores Mawdsley, Anne McIver, Joan Hedley, Jeanette Gallant, Eleanor Shipley, Susan Hedley and Peter Hedley (DeeDee).
She is survived by: her children, Mark (Kim) of Medicine Hat, AB and Kim Nelson (Kevin) of Aylesford, NS; her granddaughter Jennifer of Medicine Hat, AB; her son James (Bella) of Kingston, NS; her great grandchild Lee; and her siblings, Carolyn Melanson, Robert Hedley (Gayle), Lynn Gorman and Jackie Hedley (Annamarie). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Donations in Gloria's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Valley Hospice Foundation.
