He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wakeling and Esther Wakeling (Whynacht); his parents-in-law, Murray Peck and Maude Williamson (Ward); his sister Ruth Reding; his children, Kevin and Heather; his sisters-in-law, Sheila Ernst, Sharron Carpenter and Gail Hatchard; his son-in-law Richard Tiedjens; and his grandson Ricky Tiedjens.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Wakeling (Peck); his daughters, Cathy Tiedjens of Oakville, Ontario and Karen Allen (Duane) of Petawawa, Ontario; his grandchildren, Danielle Hamel (Nolan), Nathan Allen (Abby), Rebecca Allen (Ethan) and James Allen; and his brothers-in-law, Keith Hatchard and Frank Ernst (Ann). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Pine Grove Cemetery (84 Evangeline Trail, Middleton, NS B0S1P0).
